About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our Operational Risk Management function within Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). This national role will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities and providing leadership in operational risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Operational Risk Management, collaborating with stakeholders across Canada, North America, and globally to ensure appropriate risk management of business processes.
  • Execute, monitor, and improve the holistic Operational Risk Management program, including related controls and processes, KRIs, and tolerance levels within various risk categories.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to identify, assess, and prioritize operational risks, improving awareness and understanding of risks that impact strategic objectives or cause material operational losses.
Requirements
  • Competencies typically acquired through a Bachelor's degree and at least 8-10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Advanced education or professional qualifications preferred (MBA, CPA, etc.).
  • Experience in operational risk management, assessment methodologies, and risk reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of operational processes, controls, and regulations within Finance, preferably gained through prior roles in insurance or banking.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is $145,000 - $165,000 per year, commensurate with candidate experience.
