Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team at the Royal Bank of Canada. This role will be responsible for leading governance and oversight functions, ensuring the effective management of risk across various projects, change requests, and transactions.

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in US Capital Markets Broker/Dealer Operations or Canadian Broker Dealer, with a strong understanding of SEA Rule 15c-3 and CIRO 4311 (Possession and Control). They will also possess excellent analytical skills, with medium-strong proficiency in interpreting and analyzing key BPS reports and tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily Possession and Control (15c-3 and 4311) oversight and reporting functions, including root cause analysis and aging deficits versus required thresholds.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping of all data, reports, and supporting documentation maintained by the department.
  • Prepare departmental metrics and daily/weekly/ad-hoc management reports.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably with an emphasis in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Strong extended experience in an equivalent role, with a minimum of 5-7 years' experience in US Capital Markets Broker/Dealer Operations or Canadian Broker Dealer.
