Finance Manager

Ottobock is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our Finance team in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. This is a full-time permanent position with a hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the overall financial operations of Ottobock HealthCare Canada, including divisional financial reporting, budgeting, costing, tax, audit, and financial modeling.
- Participate in creating and implementing policies and procedures related to business processes and internal controls.
- Lead the local accounting team and provide guidance on financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Identify areas of opportunity for cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and resource optimization.
- Prepare financial reports, analysis, and feedback to support business decision-making.
- University degree in Business/Accounting with advanced degree or professional designation (such as: CA, CPA, CMA, CMT) or Master's degree preferred.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of all aspects of Corporate Accounting and Financial Management.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferable; strong understanding of Cost Accounting; significant experience in Corporate Accounting; understanding of financial policies and practices and Canadian GAAP; and IFRS a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of all relevant Federal, Provincial, and local requirements regarding financial records, pension, profit sharing, and the like is essential.
- Financial Analysis, budgeting, strategic planning, and forecasting.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel expert.
- Knowledge of IT systems, SAP or other ERP system.
- Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Good project management and/or supervisory skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential.
