Job Opportunity: We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as a Business Analytics Professor at Cape Breton University.

About the Position: This tenure-track position will focus on teaching and research in the field of Business Analytics. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching, research, and service to the university and the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Business Analytics, including data science, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
  • Develop and maintain a research program in Business Analytics, with a focus on publishing in top-tier journals and securing external funding.
  • Contribute to the development of new programs and initiatives in Business Analytics, in collaboration with other faculty members and stakeholders.
  • Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, particularly in the areas of research and career development.
  • Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work, curriculum development, and community engagement.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field from an accredited university.
  • Strong teaching and research record, with a focus on Business Analytics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Ability to teach in different modes, including online and off-campus locations.
