The Food Plug is seeking a highly skilled Merchandise Procurement Manager to join their team. As a key member of our retail operations, you will play a critical role in overseeing the daily activities of our store.

Job Summary

As a Merchandise Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing the store's inventory, supervising staff, and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service. You will work closely with our suppliers to negotiate prices, oversee the delivery of merchandise, and maintain a well-organized and efficient inventory system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of retail staff
  • Authorize payments by cheque and manage cash handling procedures
  • Order merchandise in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Establish and maintain efficient work schedules to meet customer needs
  • Sell merchandise and promote products to customers
  • Resolve customer complaints and supply chain issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Organize and maintain accurate inventory records and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of retail staff, providing guidance and support as needed
