Salary

This Commission Only position provides uncapped commissions on new business and renewals, translating to an estimated salary range of:

  • Year 1: $60,000 to $80,000+
  • Year 2: $90,000 to $135,000+
  • Year 3: $120,000 to $180,000+
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Personal Insurance Broker to join our team. As a Personal Insurance Broker, you will be responsible for generating personal insurance sales leads, managing leads, and providing quotes to prospective clients in a timely manner. You will also review policies and recommended coverages based on the client's needs, implement effective strategies to generate leads, follow-up and close the deal, deliver an exceptional customer experience from the first point of contact, prioritize building a quality book of business to ensure client loyalty and maintain good retention ratios, comply with market underwriting guidelines as well as company policies and standards, ensure appropriate forms and other policy requirements are completed, co-ordinate and follow up on client documents and payments, and consistently achieve monthly sales targets and comply with business quality targets.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • RIBO license; or OTL license and willing to convert.
  • 2 years' experience in Insurance sales with a proven track record.
  • Personal Lines Insurance Knowledge is essential.
  • Degree in any discipline from a Canadian University or Insurance Diploma/Certificate from a College.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, and superior interpersonal skills in English.
  • Reside in the Greater Ottawa Metropolitan area.
