Insurance Sales Representative Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and sales-oriented individual to join our team at Vivian Yau Desjardins Insurance Agency. As an Insurance Sales Representative, you will be responsible for establishing personalized relationships with clients, educating them on our products, and working with our agent to meet marketing goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish a climate of trust with clients to facilitate the sale of insurance policies.
  • Seize sales opportunities and provide product offers to clients.
  • Work with the agent to establish and meet marketing goals.
  • Use a customer-focused approach to educate clients about insurance options.

Requirements:

  • Sales experience preferred.
  • Successful track record of meeting sales goals.
  • Self-motivated and able to relate to customers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to work as a team and motivate others.
  • Attention to detail and strong understanding of social media/technology.

Qualifications:

  • Property and Casualty license required.
  • Life and Health license required.
  • Strong understanding of social media/technology.
  • Product/sales experience required.
  • College diploma in a related field.
  • 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Previous insurance experience in various property and casualty disciplines an asset.

These positions are with an independent contractor agent that is part of the Desjardins exclusive agent network, not with Desjardins Group or its subsidiaries.
