Commercial Credit Portfolio Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Commercial Credit Portfolio team in an assigned geographic area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for contributing to the quality and profitable growth of our Commercial Credit portfolio, while ensuring it is efficiently maintained at an acceptable level of risk.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the direction and supervision of a team of adjudicators to ensure timely and accurate credit decisions.
- Monitor trends in risk rating migration and credit conditions, and provide coaching and guidance to team members as needed.
- Negotiate with Commercial Banking partners to ensure credit terms and conditions are appropriate and sound risk decisions are achieved.
- Contribute to the development of the Bank's commercial human resources by identifying training needs and providing coaching and guidance to team members.
- Identify and contribute to driving continuous improvement at the Bank by identifying policy and process fixes and enhancements.
- Thorough understanding of Commercial Banking and the Bank's credit policies and procedures.
- Expert understanding of Bank lending policies and procedures, financial analysis, risk assessment techniques, credit structuring, collateral and security documentation and registration, collection, related legislation, and accounting practices.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team of adjudicators.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) to converse effectively with line and corporate personnel.
- Bilingual (French/English) verbal and written is required for the role.
