We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Credit Portfolio Manager to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Commercial Banking group, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial credit relationships and ensuring the quality and profitability of our Commercial Credit portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of adjudicators to ensure timely and accurate credit decisions
- Develop and implement strategies to maintain portfolio quality and risk levels
- Collaborate with Commercial Banking partners to ensure credit terms and conditions are appropriate
- Provide guidance and coaching to team members on credit and risk management
- Contribute to the development of the Bank's commercial human resources
- Thorough understanding of Commercial Banking and credit policies and procedures
- Expert understanding of Bank lending policies and procedures, financial analysis, risk assessment techniques, and credit structuring
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual (French/English) verbal and written skills
