About the Role

As a Credit Portfolio Manager at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA, you will play a critical role in managing a portfolio of large US corporates and subsidiaries of non-US groups in diverse industries. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Credit Analysis: Prepare comprehensive credit analyses, review legal documentation, and ongoing portfolio monitoring to assess the credit quality of corporate counterparties.
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare high-quality credit applications and annual reviews, including financial statements analysis, review of client strategy, business risk, industry dynamics, and competitive environment.
  • Debt Repayment Capability: Determine debt repayment capability while ensuring compliance with SGS Credit Policies.
  • Obligor Risk Ratings: Propose and update Obligor Risk Ratings.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor compliance with covenants and review all relevant legal documentation.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with other Credit Portfolio Management teams, business lines, Bankers, legal & compliance, operations, and Risk department.
Requirements
  • Strong Financial Analytical Skills: Ability to assess credit terms and conditions, including financial covenants, security, and collateral.
  • Commercial and Investment Banking Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial and investment banking products.
  • Writing Skills: Strong writing skills, particularly in assessing and summarizing financial transactions.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting, legal, and regulatory issues governing relevant sectors.
  • Research and Analysis: Ability to investigate/research/synthesize data and make appropriate conclusions.
  • Counterparty Risk Analysis: Ability to analyze and evaluate counterparty risk and financial condition.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 8-10 Years of Experience: 8-10 years as a credit analyst in a corporate and investment banking entity or related field.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
