We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Manager to lead our Commercial Credit Portfolio team. As a key member of our Commercial Banking division, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality and profitability of our commercial credit portfolio, ensuring it is maintained at an acceptable level of risk.
Key Responsibilities- Portfolio Management: Oversee the commercial credit portfolio, monitoring trends in risk rating migration and credit conditions, overdue reporting, and annual reviews.
- Credit Adjudication: Ensure credit applications are adjudicated promptly, within the Bank's risk selection parameters.
- Team Leadership: Provide coaching, direction, and guidance to direct reports on credit and other matters.
- Business Partnerships: Manage partnerships with Commercial Banking and other business lines, ensuring open communication and good service levels are achieved.
- Training and Development: Contribute to the development of the Bank's commercial human resources by identifying training needs and providing coaching to team members.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and contribute to driving continuous improvement at the Bank by identifying policy and process fixes and enhancements.
- Expertise: Thorough understanding of Commercial Banking and the Bank's credit policies and procedures.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, demonstrated by the management of a team of adjudicators.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills (written and oral) to converse effectively with line and corporate personnel.
- Language Skills: Bilingual (French/English) verbal and written is required for the role.
