Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced People and Culture Consultant to join our team at Thompson Rivers University. As a key member of our HR Strategic Partnerships team, you will provide strategic advice and guidance to managers, deans, directors, and VPs across campus on all aspects of People and Culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employee and Labor Relations: Provide expert advice and guidance on employee and labor relations, including interpretation and application of collective agreements, HR policies, and procedures.
  • Strategic Recruitment and Selection: Develop and oversee the implementation of TRU's employment brand and recruitment and selection strategy, ensuring alignment with TRU's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Organization Development & Learning: Lead the development and implementation of TRU's performance management programs, including coaching and advising portfolio leaders on effective performance and development planning.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum four years of experience in a complex, multi-union, public sector environment.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work as an integral member of a highly functioning HR team.
