About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Mount Norquay. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the expectations of our guests.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure that they are equipped to deliver high-quality dishes.
  • Food Cost Control: Maintain accurate records of food costs and consumption to ensure that we are operating within budget.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering and inventory of ingredients and supplies to ensure that we have the necessary resources to meet demand.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Staff Development: Identify and develop the skills of our kitchen staff to ensure that they are equipped to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a head chef or senior kitchen manager in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Education: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate and completion of a culinary arts program or equivalent experience.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
