Case Manager

The Case Manager plays a vital role in the Sexual Violence Support & Prevention Office (SVSPO) at Simon Fraser University. This position is responsible for providing trauma-informed support to survivors of sexualized violence, as well as supporting students, staff, and faculty who have been impacted. The Case Manager will work closely with the SVSPO team to develop and implement processes, services, and training to enhance support for those affected by sexual violence.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct support to survivors, complainants, and respondents to incidents of sexualized violence
- Assist individuals in understanding SFU's policy framework related to sexualized violence
- Develop and implement processes, services, and training to enhance support for those affected by sexual violence
- Work collaboratively with the SVSPO team to ensure consistency in approach and develop new processes, services, and training as required
The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling, or a related discipline, and five years of related experience, including crisis intervention, counselling, sexual violence support, education, research, and advocacy in a unionized environment. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of intersectional, feminist, anti-oppressive, and anti-racist practices relating to sexual, intimate, and family violence, as well as experience working with diverse populations.
What We OfferAs a temporary employee with the Administrative & Professional Staff Association (APSA), the successful candidate will receive an additional 7% pay in lieu of benefits, 8% vacation pay, employer-paid extended health and dental plans, professional development funds, and a hybrid-work program for eligible positions.
