Case Manager

The Case Manager will play a critical role in addressing the needs of survivors of sexualized violence at Simon Fraser University. This position requires a trauma-informed and survivor-centered approach, providing direct support to survivors, complainants, and respondents. The Case Manager will assist individuals in understanding SFU's policy framework related to sexualized violence and provide resources to make informed decisions about reporting incidents to the University.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct support to survivors, complainants, and respondents, including crisis intervention and counseling.
- Assist individuals in understanding SFU's policy framework related to sexualized violence.
- Develop and implement processes, services, and training to enhance support for survivors and promote a culture of respect and safety.
- Work collaboratively with the Sexual Violence Support & Prevention Office team to ensure consistency in approach and develop new processes, services, and training as required.
The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling, or a related discipline, and five years of related experience, including crisis intervention, counseling, sexual violence support, education, research, and advocacy in a unionized environment. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of intersectional, feminist, anti-oppressive, and anti-racist practices, as well as risk and threat assessment in community, family, and post-secondary settings.

Temporary employees who belong to the Administrative & Professional Staff Association (APSA) will receive an additional 7% pay in lieu of benefits and 8% vacation pay.
