About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Energy Specialist to join our team at DPC Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. As an Industrial Energy Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving our company's sustainability initiatives and reducing our environmental footprint.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead and manage a team of energy professionals to support our strategic energy management initiatives.
    • Develop and implement metrics and KPIs to measure team performance and progress.
    • Establish a reporting structure and ensure clear roles and responsibilities for team members.
    • Facilitate regular team meetings and encourage open communication and feedback.
  • Energy Management and Optimization
    • Conduct system audits to identify opportunities for energy savings and optimization.
    • Develop and implement energy management plans and strategies to reduce energy consumption.
    • Prioritize and track project opportunities to achieve energy savings and reduce costs.
    • Develop business cases for energy-related projects and budgets.
  • Technical Expertise and Intelligence
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest energy-efficient technologies and best practices.
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of energy use across all areas of our operations.
    • Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and cost savings.
  • Reporting and Analytics
    • Develop and maintain a multi-year baseline of energy use for our company.
    • Monitor and report on energy use and consumption on a regular basis.
    • Develop and track metrics to measure progress against our energy reduction targets.
  • Communication and Outreach
    • Develop and implement communication plans to engage employees and stakeholders on energy-related initiatives.
    • Provide training and education on energy-efficient practices and technologies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote energy-saving initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial energy management and operations.
  • Excellent knowledge of energy-efficient technologies and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex energy-related concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
