We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Chebucto Inn. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, handling room reservations, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities
  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner
  • Process room reservations, cancellations, and changes with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Provide guests with information on hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
  • Process guest departures, calculate charges, and receive payments
  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures as required
  • Perform various clerical duties, including faxing, filing, and photocopying
  • Answer telephone calls and relay messages to guests and staff
  • Assist guests with special needs and provide exceptional customer service
  • Contact guests to deliver requested wake-up calls
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties as needed
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Dependability, reliability, and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service
