Hotel Front Desk Associate

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Hotel Front Desk Clerk at Chebucto Inn. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, managing room reservations, and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Registration: Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and ensure accurate and efficient check-in and check-out processes.
- Reservation Management: Take, cancel, and change room reservations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Guest Services: Provide information on hotel facilities and services, as well as general information about local points of interest.
- Departure Processing: Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments in a professional and courteous manner.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
- Emergency Procedures: Follow established emergency and safety procedures to ensure the well-being of our guests and staff.
- Clerical Duties: Perform various clerical tasks, including faxing, filing, and photocopying.
- Communication: Answer telephone calls, relay messages, and assist guests with special needs.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Work Setting: Hotel, motel, or resort environment.
- Transportation: Public transportation is available.
- Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, and team player.
