Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Chebucto Inn. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, managing room reservations, and maintaining a high level of accuracy in all aspects of your work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Services: Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and provide information on hotel facilities and services.
  • Room Management: Take, cancel, and change room reservations, and maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
  • Customer Communication: Answer telephone calls, relay messages, and provide general information about points of interest in the area.
  • Payment and Departure: Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments.
  • Clerical Duties: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and assist with special needs.
  • Transportation and Travel: Provide information on public transportation available to guests.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Schedule: 30 hours per week.
