About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a non-judgmental attitude, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. As a Mental Health Support Professional, you will provide support to clients with mental health disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and physical disabilities, promoting their overall well-being and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Support: Provide emotional support, guidance, and counseling to clients with mental health disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and physical disabilities.
  • Case Management: Assess client needs, develop individualized care plans, and coordinate services to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Liaison Work: Collaborate with healthcare providers, social services agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Life Skills Training: Teach clients essential life skills, such as personal care, household management, and food preparation, to enhance their independence.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention services, including suicide prevention and conflict resolution, to clients in need.
Requirements:
  • Education: College diploma or equivalent in a related field (e.g., social work, psychology, or human services).
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience working with vulnerable populations, preferably in a mental health or community support setting.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; empathy, patience, and understanding when interacting with clients.
