About the Role

We are seeking an experienced A&R Manager to join our innovative and highly sought-after team at Warner Music Group. This role is specifically for our 91 North Records division, focusing on the South Asian music scene.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing artist relationships, developing marketing initiatives, and staying up-to-date with industry trends. If you have a passion for discovering new talent and collaborating with artists, producers, and other stakeholders, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the full A&R lifecycle from research and recruitment to recording and production releases.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and implement creative strategies for artists and roster management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing artists, producers, and industry professionals.
  • Liaise with Legal and Artist Management during the deal-making process.
  • Stay current on new trends, artists, and talent within the music industry.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in the music industry, specifically in A&R.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of data and research tools, including Nielsen and DSP analytics.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A deep understanding of the digital commerce space, including DSP artist portals and key artist development and feeder playlists.
  • Knowledge of the South Asian music space and post-secondary education in Creative Arts, Music, or Business Management is an asset.
