Meat Department Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Meat Department Manager to join our team at 1283831 B.C. LTD. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the daily operations of our meat department.
Key Responsibilities:- Direct and control daily operations of the meat department, ensuring high-quality products and exceptional customer service.
- Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Plan and organize daily operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and merchandising.
- Manage staff and assign duties, providing guidance and support to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
- Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand and adjust product offerings accordingly.
- Determine merchandise and services to be sold, including pricing and promotions.
- Implement price and credits policies, ensuring compliance with company guidelines.
- Locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale, ensuring high-quality products and competitive pricing.
- Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses, providing financial reports to management.
- Determine staffing requirements, including recruitment and hiring of new staff members.
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints and supply shortages.
- 3-4 years of experience in a retail meat department or related field.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Availability for shift or on-call work.
- Current legal ability to work in Canada.
- Residency in proximity to the advertised location.
