Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Interfacility Transport Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of patients across the province.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process requests for medical transportation, prioritizing and coordinating with dispatch agencies as needed.
  • Manage incoming calls, obtaining essential information from callers and triaging the nature of injuries and illnesses.
  • Monitor and operate communication systems to maintain efficient and essential communications.
  • Record and maintain support information regarding each case, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other agencies to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in a relevant healthcare or health sciences discipline.
  • Experience in a call center environment or medical transportation setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competent in Windows-based computer programs and able to learn new systems quickly.
