Fleet Manager Job Description

At Element Fleet Management, we are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Manager to join our team. As a key member of our fleet management team, you will be responsible for managing and directing defined aspects of Client's fleet operations. Your primary focus will be on policy compliance and reporting, as well as developing and implementing vehicle and equipment specifications and cost management programs. You will also be responsible for managing the fleet department budget and developing and maintaining outside vendor and service provider relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and direct defined aspects of Client's fleet operations
  • Oversee policy compliance and reporting
  • Develop and implement vehicle and equipment specifications and cost management programs
  • Manage fleet department budget
  • Develop and maintain outside vendor and service provider relationships

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a business discipline
  • 7-10 years Fleet Manager/Industry experience
  • CAFM accredited
  • Strong capabilities to effectively consult, influence, negotiate and to lead change
  • Strong rapport-building and effective relationship skills with persons having a broad range of backgrounds
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, project management and planning capability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are essential
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), strong presentation skills; an effective listener
  • Fleet Industry knowledge
  • Experience with presenting new ideas to executive level
  • Proficient in at least one of the data visualizations tools, Excel; strong data mining skills
