**Constable Position - City of Ottawa**

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Constable. The successful candidate will be responsible for serving and protecting our community, responding to emergency calls, and engaging with the public.

**Key Responsibilities**
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance to the public in a timely and professional manner.
  • Engage with the community and build relationships with residents and businesses to foster a sense of trust and cooperation.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as crisis management, conflict resolution, and community policing.
  • Collaborate with other police officers and emergency services to achieve common goals and ensure public safety.
**Requirements**
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Hold a Basic Constable Training Diploma or equivalent.
**Working Conditions**

As a Constable, you will be required to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and nights, including Statutory Holidays. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergency situations with poise and professionalism.

**Training and Development**

Successful candidates will be required to attend training at the Ottawa Police Professional Development center. This training will provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in your role as a Constable and make a positive impact on our community.

**Selection Process**

Your application must include a cover letter and detailed resume, as well as a valid fitness test and a copy of your Basic Constable Training Diploma.
