Opportunity Overview

Aecon Utilities is committed to delivering projects with speed, intelligence, and safety. As part of our Green Energy Solutions team, we're seeking a Solar Sales Representative to help us become Canada's #1 utility construction provider.

The ideal candidate will have experience in B2C and B2B technical sales, a strong working knowledge of solar systems, and excellent problem-solving skills. They will be responsible for assessing, sizing, pricing, and presenting solar solutions to residential homeowners, as well as managing inbound leads and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Build and maintain long-term customer relationships
  2. Provide effective delivery of customer-based utilization services
  3. Manage inbound leads and conduct site visits as required
  4. Prepare pricing, proposals, contracts, and assist with project coordination and customer communication
  5. Maintain a CRM database for accounts and opportunities
  6. Conduct canvassing and selling to new and existing customers
  7. Deliver excellent customer service and resolve customer issues
  8. Meet minimum required sales targets as set by sales leadership

Requirements

  1. Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or equivalent working experience
  2. 2-5 years of sales experience in solar or other technical sales
  3. Good computer skills and experience with solar modeling software like Aurora Solar
  4. Proven results on delivery of performance objectives and sales targets
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  6. In-home sales experience is considered an asset
