Solar Sales Representative

Job Summary:

Aecon Utilities is seeking a skilled Solar Sales Representative to join our Green Energy Solutions team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling solar products and systems to residential homeowners, assessing and sizing solar solutions, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships
  • Provide effective delivery of customer-based utilization services for equipment selection, sizing, quoting, and selling to customers
  • Manage inbound leads to size, scope, and assess technical and physical replacement requirements
  • Conduct site visits as required
  • Prepare pricing, proposals, contracts, and assist with project coordination and customer communication
  • Maintain a CRM database for accounts and opportunities, as well as the collection of customer information and general market intelligence
  • Conduct canvassing and selling to new and existing customers
  • Deliver excellent customer service based on a thorough understanding of the operating model
  • Manage and resolve customer issues and concerns
  • Meet minimum required sales targets as set by sales leadership

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or equivalent working experience
  • 2-5 years of sales experience in solar or other technical sales
  • Good computer skills
  • Experience with solar modeling software like Aurora Solar
  • Proven results on delivery of performance objectives and sales targets (meeting or exceeding goals)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • In-home sales experience is considered an asset
  • Ability to work flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends as required
