Electrical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at MPE Engineering. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems design, including power distribution, electrical system modeling, and lighting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems meet project requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and specifications
  • Provide technical input and direction to junior staff
  • Conduct site visits to validate adherence to specifications and design

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in a relevant discipline
  • Eligibility for professional membership with APEGA (P.Eng.) or ASET (P.Tech.(Eng.)
  • Experience in AutoCAD and Revit drafting
  • Experience in electrical system building design, including power distribution and emergency backup
  • Experience in electrical system modeling, including SKM
  • Experience in lighting, fire alarm, security, door access, and control systems
  • Experience in automation and control systems
  • Commercial and/or industrial electrical consulting experience
