Electrical Engineer Job Description

MPE Engineering Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Lethbridge. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems meet project requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and specifications
  • Conduct site visits to validate adherence to specifications and design
  • Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Eligibility for professional membership with APEGA (P.Eng.) or ASET (P.Tech.(Eng.)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial and industrial electrical design and consulting
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit drafting
  • Experience with electrical system modeling (SKM)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electrical system building design, including power distribution and emergency backup
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
  • Ability to lead and coordinate small projects
