Senior Director, Market Access & Reimbursement

At Gilead Sciences, Inc., we are revolutionizing healthcare by bringing innovative therapies to patients in areas of unmet need. We are seeking a Senior Director, Market Access & Reimbursement to join our Canadian affiliate in Mississauga, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the local Canadian Market Access Strategy, including pricing, reimbursement, regional policy, and patient access, for the Gilead product portfolio.
  • Lead the development and implementation of pricing strategy related to Patented Medicines Prices Review Board (PMPRB) reviews and approvals, consistent with the global pricing policy.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the local Health Economics strategy in alignment with the global plan.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the development of local reimbursement dossiers for all payors (public and private).
  • Lead the development and implementation of local product listing agreements (PLAs) with various public and private payors.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive formulary placement and ensure patient access to current and future brands.
  • Build productive relationships with key provincial government decision makers and influencers that affect pricing, reimbursement, and patient access.
  • Align the development and implementation of stakeholder group engagement plans in support of optimal patient access.
  • Lead and develop the local Market Access team to ensure delivery of optimal performance and future growth and development of staff.
Requirements:
  • 14+ years of healthcare experience with broad experience in market access, pricing, HTA, key accounts, and commercial operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian pharmaceutical reimbursement and pricing issues, policies, and trends.
  • Advanced degree in economics, health economics, medicine, pharmacy, public health, health services research, business analytics, and/or financial analysis.
