Market Access & Reimbursement Expert Sought

Gilead Sciences, Inc. is a research-based biopharmaceutical company driven by a passion for improving the lives of people around the world. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Director, Market Access & Reimbursement to join our Canadian affiliate in Mississauga, Ontario.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the local Canadian Market Access Strategy, including pricing, reimbursement, and patient access for the Gilead product portfolio. This strategic leader will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal formulary positioning and patient access.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement pricing strategy for Patented Medicines Prices Review Board (PMPRB) reviews and approvals.
  • Lead the development of local Health Economics strategy in alignment with the global plan.
  • Provide strategic leadership for local reimbursement dossiers and product listing agreements with public and private payors.
  • Drive formulary placement and patient access initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key provincial government decision makers and influencers.

Requirements

  • Strong strategic thinking and portfolio management skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Executive presence with ability to command respect.
  • 14+ years of healthcare experience with broad experience in market access, pricing, HTA, key accounts, and commercial operations.
  • Advanced degree in economics, health economics, medicine, pharmacy, public health, health services research, business analytics, and/or financial analysis.
