HR Recruitment Specialist

Job Summary:
The BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS is seeking a highly skilled HR Recruitment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing our overall recruiting strategy, developing and updating job descriptions and job specifications, and performing job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement overall recruiting strategy to attract top talent
- Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications to ensure accuracy and relevance
- Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives
- Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to relevant job boards and websites
- Source and recruit candidates using various recruitment platforms
- Screen candidates' resumes and job applications to ensure qualifications and experience meet job requirements
- Conduct interviews using reliable recruiting and selection tools to filter candidates
- Assess applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes
- Fulfill vacant positions efficiently and effectively
- Onboard new employees to ensure a smooth transition
- Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices to ensure compliance and effectiveness
- Provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports to the team
- Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
- Promote the company's reputation throughout the recruitment process
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or diploma/certificate in Human Resources plus a minimum of three to five years of recent, related experience
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Aptitude to listen, ascertain the needs of clients, and respond accordingly in a timely and efficient manner
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, positive relationships and effectively work with various stakeholders and colleagues
- Demonstrated knowledge of standard HR policies and practices, and related employment legislation
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to collect data from various sources, analyze, produce reports, and make recommendations
- Ability to work independently and as an effective team member
- Able to multi-task, organize, and prioritize workload to manage concurrent projects and meet deadlines
- Commitment to the value of continuous learning and an open curiosity for new ideas and innovation
- Demonstrated ability to engage others to ensure success in the workplace
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to utilize related equipment and computerized software packages such as the Microsoft Office suite at an advanced level
