About the Role:
Hunter West Legal Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Human Resources Manager to join our client, a well-established boutique law firm in downtown Vancouver. As the ideal candidate, you will be responsible for managing the HR function, acting as a liaison and facilitator for various departments and stakeholders, and supporting the firm's Partners in their day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the employee lifecycle, including full cycle recruitment and selection, onboarding, annual performance reviews, and compensation analysis.
- Administer benefits and leaves of absence, manage staff vacation time, and oversee terminations and departures.
- Run payroll in collaboration with the Finance Director and assist Partners and Finance Director with day-to-day operations.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with Employment Standards.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience within a law firm.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and conflict resolution capabilities.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or a related field is considered an asset.
