We are seeking a dynamic and inspirational research leader as our Executive Vice President, Research & Innovation (EVP), The Ottawa Hospital and the Chief Executive Officer & Scientific Director (CEO/SD), The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to actualize our long-standing commitment to innovate, integrate, and have impact across our entire research enterprise, now and into the future.

As the ideal candidate, you are a leader, innovator, and respected scientist with a clear sense of the future and the importance of research and innovation in all its forms. You play an important leadership role internally and externally with partners, collaborators, and funders in Canada and around the world. You espouse and model integrity, equity, inclusion, collaboration, and excellence, and are known to challenge conventions, drive change, build bridges, and mobilize complex and sizable research enterprises to achieve outcomes and have impact.

To succeed in this role, you will be an authentic and trusted leader with highly developed communication, facilitation, negotiation, collaboration, and advocacy skills. You will develop and rally support for a compelling vision for our research and innovation enterprise, both internally and externally. You will empower diverse and inclusive team cultures that are safe, high-performing, equitable, and committed to addressing matters of social justice, anti-racism, anti-oppression, planetary health, and social accountability, head on.
