The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute
is a leading academic health sciences centre, serving a diverse population of over one million people. Committed to delivering cutting-edge health care, we are leading the way in digital care and modernization, with a new campus project underway.
Our research spans more than a hundred diseases, conditions, and specialties, with a focus on translating discoveries into better health. We are seeking a dynamic research leader as our Executive Vice President, Research & Innovation, and Chief Executive Officer & Scientific Director.
As the ideal candidate, you are a leader, innovator, and respected scientist with a clear sense of the future and the importance of research and innovation. You will play an important leadership role internally and externally, with partners, collaborators, and funders worldwide. You will espouse and model integrity, equity, inclusion, collaboration, and excellence, and be known to challenge conventions, drive change, and mobilize complex research enterprises.
You will be an authentic and trusted leader with highly developed communication, facilitation, negotiation, collaboration, and advocacy skills. With scientific and non-scientific communities, you will develop and rally support for a compelling vision for our research and innovation enterprise. With your staff and colleagues, you will be an empowering mentor, known for developing and supporting diverse and inclusive team cultures that are safe, high-performing, equitable, and committed to addressing matters of social justice, anti-racism, anti-oppression, planetary health, and social accountability.
