About the Role

Virdi Construction Ltd is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials such as wood, wood substitutes, and steel.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, and hardware.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites.
  • Survey building locations and levels.
  • Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers.
  • Operate computer-aided design (CADD) software and other computer systems.
  • Maintain and repair residences and wooden structures in various settings.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor.
