Software Development Manager, Ads Campaign Management

At Amazon, we are building a unified campaign service that is highly available, auto-scalable, and supports a global interface for all ad programs across Sponsored Ads and ADSP. As a Software Development Manager, Ads Campaign Management, you will lead a team of engineers to design and architect new and existing systems, ensuring they are redundant, highly available, and scale massively to meet the needs of our advertisers.

About the team: The Ads Campaign Management team's goal is to provide a unified campaign service that is highly available, auto-scalable, and supports a global interface for all ad programs across Sponsored Ads and ADSP. We own campaign management services and systems that enable advertisers to perform key functions across the entire advertising lifecycle. In addition to campaign management, we also own Decoration Service that provides retail metadata for advertising on ASIN and offers on advertised products with 245MM updates a day on 3.9B decorations.

As a member of our team, you will work closely with product or program management teams to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy. You will also partner with other technical teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of our systems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
  • 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers

The base salary for this position ranges from $171,400/year up to $286,200/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
