About the Role:

The Finance Department of Global Banking and Investor Solutions (GBIS) is a global organization with a strong presence in the Americas. Our core mission involves delivering sound financial reports, supporting Business Units, Service Units, and General Management with strategic guidance, effectively scrutinizing business plans, and offering expert advice on efficient resource allocation.

Our Asset and Liability Management Department (DFIN/ALM) plays a crucial role in maintaining liquidity expertise for the Americas Region. Responsibilities include Liquidity model ownership, 2nd level review and explanation of Liquidity Dashboard and Reporting exposures, General Secretary of the ALCO, Scarce Resources Steering, adherence to Liquidity Regulatory Requirements, liquidity and funding risk management, and balance sheet monitoring.

Day-to-Day Tasks:

  1. Conduct ad hoc portfolio and balance sheet analysis, including stress test by business line analysis.
  2. Review weekly LST results, including all drivers of stressed balance sheet, and provide commentary for presentations.
  3. Drive liquidity modeling projects, participating in model design and implementation, data set analytics, documentation, testing, and validation.
  4. Collaborate with Treasury, Second Line of Defense (2LOD)/Risk department, various business lines, Operations, and other functions to ensure completeness and accuracy of business being modeled.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Must-Haves:

  • Undergraduate or Master's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Established knowledge in funding or asset product lines, accounting, or balance sheet knowledge.
  • 1-3 years of industry experience.
  • Strong Excel skills, data management, and Pivot Tables.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear written formats.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Nice to Haves:

  • Affinity for programming using Object-Oriented Languages, Data Analytics, Statistics, and time series analysis.
  • Prior experience in ALM/Treasury/Business line departments.
  • Liquidity/capital stress testing or IRRBB modeling expertise.
  • Familiarity with IT modeling tools.
