We are seeking a driven Commercial Account Manager to join our team at BDC's Virtual Business Centre. As a key member, you will be responsible for maintaining relationships with clients in the small and stable business segment, promoting business development and client retention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a client growth and retention strategy to build a long-term profitable loan portfolio with clients.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for financing and consulting services while focusing on the development of current portfolios.
  • Work with the team to provide exceptional client service and ensure smooth work sharing.
  • Develop and implement an individual and group marketing plan that aligns with the strategy and goals of the VBC-Connect portfolio.
  • Use credit judgment to ensure loan proposals meet established standards, are of high quality, and acceptable risk.
  • Analyze, negotiate, and prepare high-quality loan proposals through thorough credit analysis, due diligence, and sound account management practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Business Administration.
  • Proven sales skills and passion for entrepreneurship.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage a high volume of client relationships.
  • Talent in business development and client relationship management.
  • Ability to make sound credit decisions and knowledge of credit policies and practices.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and a focus on results.
  • Team player with a good understanding of small business and underserved markets.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication in English and French.
