IT Infrastructure Senior Manager & Solutions (Hybrid)

As the IT Infrastructure Senior Manager, you will be tasked with the strategic oversight of IT infrastructure solutions across various locations. Engaging with stakeholders across Canada, the United States, and Ireland, your role will be pivotal in ensuring that IT infrastructure initiatives align with corporate goals and the needs of business units.

Your leadership will extend to teams across multiple regions, guaranteeing that the reliability and availability of network systems, servers, and data centers meet our high standards. Collaborating closely with the IT leadership team and decision-makers in other departments, you will identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions that serve the entire organization.

Your Responsibilities
  • Establish and enforce standards for IT infrastructure across all areas: network, servers, storage, databases, wireless technology, communications, and telephony systems.
  • Generate status reports and metrics to monitor the delivery of IT services, including planned and unplanned outages and other critical performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with the IT cybersecurity team to uphold the security of IT systems, networks, and data, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Guarantee the high availability of essential business systems.
  • Optimize system reliability by managing the capacity utilization of infrastructure services.
  • Engage with senior IT managers and project managers for vendor selection and management.
  • Maintain effective vendor relationships.
  • Contribute to the formulation of IT departmental strategies that align with the overall corporate vision.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive data backup and recovery strategy.
  • Implement industry best practices for IT infrastructure standards along with departmental policies.
  • Establish guidelines for monitoring system performance and stability; provide regular status updates.
  • Oversee the strategic planning of infrastructure system upgrades.
  • Create business cases and conduct cost/benefit analyses for IT investments and initiatives.
  • Manage budgets effectively or operate within established financial constraints.
Your Skills
  • Strong familiarity with IT infrastructure technologies such as virtualization, cloud computing, storage solutions, databases, and telephony.
  • Experience with IT service management tools like ServiceNow.
  • Understanding of service level agreements (SLAs) and their applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of data privacy regulations and practices.
  • Solid grasp of human resource management principles and practices.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proven leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to conduct research into IT issues and products as necessary.
  • Effective communication skills to present ideas in an accessible manner.
  • Demonstrated analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Extensive experience in a collaborative, team-oriented setting.
Your Experience
  • A university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • At least 5 years of management experience.
  • Strong technical expertise in Network and Server operating systems.
