Role Summary

Ay Talent is seeking an experienced Event Planning Manager to lead the planning and execution of charity events across Canada and internationally. This is a unique opportunity to utilize your event planning skills to make a positive impact on our clients.

About the Role

The Event Planning Manager will be responsible for collaborating with fundraisers and the communications team to develop and implement cultivation, fundraising, and stewardship events. This includes researching and presenting suitable venues, negotiating contracts, managing travel and accommodation logistics, and working with internal communications teams for invitation and RSVP processes.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of event planning experience, an existing network of event-related suppliers in Montreal, and excellent writing and communication skills. They will also possess strong budget development and management skills, as well as experience with project management software and Raiser's Edge.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop an annual events calendar aligned with funding priorities in collaboration with fundraising and operations teams.
  2. Identify goals and objectives for each event and manage an evaluation process to measure success.
  3. Plan and execute approximately 15 event programs annually across Canada, including researching venues, negotiating contracts, and managing logistics.
  4. Work with volunteers and committees to deliver goals and objectives.
  5. Represent Canada in the organization of international events.
  6. Collaborate with content production colleagues and suppliers to create video content for events as required.
  7. Proactively identify new ways to improve the event experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in budget development and management.

  • Bilingual (French/English) would be an asset.
