Fire Performance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Modeling Consultant to join our team at Ignis Global Recruitment.
About the RoleThe primary focus of this position is to conduct egress and fire modeling services across various projects. This entails providing comprehensive reports and technical letters to support analysis while collaborating effectively with project teams, clients, and relevant authorities.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Delivery: Design and provide egress and fire modeling services for various projects.
- Project Management: Manage small to mid-sized projects, overseeing project deliverables, schedules, and administration.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external teams for project-related communications and deliverables.
- Client Communication: Communicate with clients and approving authorities regarding code compliance strategies and fire performance designs through reports, technical letters, presentations, and opinions.
- Site Inspections: Conduct site inspections and attend project meetings.
- Design Drawing Reviews: Perform drawing reviews of design drawings for code compliance and identification of fire and life safety systems.
- Proposal Development: Prepare proposals and fee estimates, including conducting research, calculating project costs, and determining client requirements.
- Technical Documentation: Produce code reports and other technical documentation based on project requirements.
- Fire Performance Initiatives: Develop and support fire performance initiatives within the company.
- Training and Development: Provide fire modeling/egress modeling training to staff.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applied Science, preferably in a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience, including expertise in fire and egress modeling projects, familiarity with fire and building codes, and experience in training junior staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and relevant fire modeling software such as Fire Dynamics Simulator and Pathfinder.
- Strong communication skills and competency in Word and Excel are essential, while experience with Bluebeam is advantageous.
The base salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $160,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications. The bonus package includes performance bonuses and relocation allowance if necessary.
