About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the hangar operations at our facilities. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Hangar Operations
- Plan and manage materials, tools, and equipment as required by tasks
- Ensure accurate documentation and reports are generated within timely frameworks
- Conduct thorough inventory checks pre-project and post-project
- Coordinate parts issuance against work orders
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure parts requirements are met
- Maintain compliance with established policies, procedures, and processes
- Manage technical documentation and maintenance controls effectively
- Ensure adherence to security requirements for Inventory Controls
- Complete all aircraft departure procedures efficiently
- Identify, investigate, and implement corrective actions for problematic issues with hangar processes
- Develop and maintain staff schedules
- Promote proper housekeeping practices
- Staff Management
- Participate in the selection process for new hangar support staff
- Review and approve timesheets
- Delegate monthly, weekly, and daily tasks
- Provide on-the-job training and delegate responsibilities
- Ensure mandatory training requirements are met
- Perform Performance Management, discipline, conflict resolution, and direct supervision of Hangar Support staff
Requirements:
- 5 years' experience in aircraft maintenance or a similar hangar environment
- Prior management/supervisory experience
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license
- Valid Passport and willingness to travel
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of Transport Canada regulations
- Basic computer knowledge and understanding of aviation-based software
- Ability to operate forklifts and relevant equipment
- Knowledge of aircraft towing and fueling procedures
- Experience with aircraft tooling, including various Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
- Self-motivated, problem-solving abilities, and strong teamwork skills
What We Offer
