The Nutrition Specialist in Acute Rehabilitation will work independently in an acute rehabilitation care environment as part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team. This role is responsible for integrating, translating, coordinating, promoting, and applying food and clinical nutrition management according to established policies, professional regulations, and Standards of Practice.

About the Role

This full-time position at Island Health offers a competitive salary of $83,611 - $104,643 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Organize and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Work independently without direct supervision.
  • Communicate effectively through verbal and written means.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Develop good public relations.
  • Operate related equipment, such as computers.
  • Maintain physical stamina to perform job duties.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor's degree with major credits in Food and Nutrition from a Dietitians of Canada accredited university program.
  • Completion of a Dietitians of Canada accredited clinical/general dietetic internship.
  • Current licensure in a practicing category with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC as a Dietitian.
  • Eligibility for membership in the Dietitians of Canada.
  • At least one year of experience as a practicing Dietitian.
