Job Title: Strategic Financial Leader

Stevenson & White is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Financial Leader to join their senior leadership team in Ottawa. As a key member of the executive team, you will be responsible for leading the financial strategy and driving transformative change that will support revenue growth and cost optimization.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Execute Financial Strategies: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute financial strategies that support business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to optimize resource allocation and performance.
  • Financial Controls and Processes: Implement and monitor robust financial controls, processes, and technology solutions to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and enhance financial reporting and analysis.
  • Financial Modelling and Scenario Analysis: Lead financial modelling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Treasury Management: Oversee treasury management, including cash flow optimization and capital allocation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives that support revenue growth and cost optimization.
  • International Financial Operations: Manage international financial operations, including foreign exchange, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
Requirements:
  • CPA Designation: Completed CPA designation required.
  • Experience: Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 2 – 3 years in a management role.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous experience leading finance teams and financial transformation in a scaling business.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
