Job Title: Travel Nurse

Canadian Health Care Agency is seeking a skilled and dedicated Travel Nurse to join our team. As a valued member of our team, you will provide culturally safe care for Indigenous patients and families in remote, isolated, or semi-isolated areas across Northern Ontario.

About the Role:

The Travel Nurse will be responsible for delivering primary care and public health services through a set of integrated and accessible healthcare services. This includes working collaboratively with community members to identify health priorities and promoting community healthcare prevention.

Requirements:
  • 3000 hours of clinical experience acquired within the last 3 years
  • Experience related to performing complex activities in a wide variety of situations in either primary/acute/intensive care, urgent/emergency care, or community health (public health and home and community care)
  • Recognized Canadian Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Valid CNO license for Ontario in good standing
  • Up-to-date certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and International Trauma Life Support (ITLS)
  • Valid class "G" or equivalent driver's license
  • Mask-fit Tested
  • WHMISTDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) Medical Clearance from applicant's primary care provider
  • Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance/Background check
Profile:
  • Willingness and ability to travel in small aircraft, off-road vehicles, and by boat in varied weather conditions to communities in remote and isolated areas
  • Comfortable working in a rigorous and diverse work environment
  • May be required to be temporarily reassigned to other communities as operationally required
  • Flexibility to perform on-call duties, work after hours/overnight, and on weekends as required
  • Eager to complete mandatory education/training relevant to the position
