Nurse Travel Professional

This is a challenging and rewarding position for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide culturally safe care for Indigenous patients and families in remote, isolated or semi-isolated areas across Northern Ontario.
Key Responsibilities- To deliver primary care and public health services through a set of integrated and accessible health care services.
- To work collaboratively with community members to identify health priorities while addressing and promoting community health care prevention.
To be considered for this position, you must have but not limited to:
- 3000 hours of clinical experience acquired within the last 3 years.
- Experience related to performing complex activities in a wide variety of situations in either of the following areas: Primary / Acute / Intensive care, Urgent / Emergency care Or Community health (public health and home and community care).
- A recognized Canadian Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- A valid CNO license for Ontario in good standing.
- Having an up-to-date certification in the following areas:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers issued by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and International Trauma Life Support (ITLS).
- A valid class 'G' or equivalent driver's license.
- Mask-fit Tested.
- WHMIS.
- TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods).
- Medical Clearance from applicant's primary care provider.
- Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance / Background check.
You will need to be willing and able to travel in small aircraft, off-road vehicles, and by boat in varied weather conditions to communities in remote and isolated areas. You should be comfortable working in a rigorous and diverse work environment and be flexible to perform on-call duties, work after hours/overnight, and on weekends as required.
What We Offer- A competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 per annum based on experience.
