About the Role:
We're seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Server Assistant to join our team at Sidecut Steakhouse. As a Server Assistant, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests, working closely with our servers and kitchen team to ensure seamless service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Anticipate and meet the needs of our guests, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
- Support our servers by delivering food and beverages, refilling drinks, and clearing tables.
- Serve and clear all food and beverage items, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
- Complete opening and closing side-work as assigned, ensuring the restaurant is prepared for service.
- Set all tables according to standards, paying attention to detail and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Have a thorough understanding of our menu, describing food items to guests and answering questions about ingredients and preparation methods.
- Break down displays or side stations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Monitor overall restaurant cleanliness, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our guests and team members.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years' experience in food and beverage, preferably in a fine dining restaurant.
- Solid knowledge of food and beverage products, including wine.
- Strong command of the English language.
- Excellent commitment to service and teamwork.
- Ability to obtain a Serving It Right certificate.
- Ability to work in Canada.
