Ambulance Paramedic Position in Western Canada

We are seeking two highly skilled Primary Care Paramedics to join our team at Medavie Health Services West. As a leading provider of primary health care solutions, we offer a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.
Job Summary:
The successful candidates will be responsible for providing independent primary clinical care, safe transportation of individuals, and maintaining and operating ambulances and related equipment. They will work collaboratively with our team to ensure the highest level of patient safety and satisfaction.
About Us:
Medavie Health Services West is a subsidiary of Medavie Blue Cross, a national leader in primary health care solutions. We operate a network of 5,400 healthcare professionals across six provinces, providing a range of services including ground and air ambulance, medical communications, Mobile Integrated Health/Community Paramedicine programs, 911 Public Safety, 811 Telehealth, home health care, and clinical training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing independent primary clinical care to patients
- Safe transportation of individuals, including emergency and non-emergency responses, as well as inter-facility transfers
- Maintaining and operating ambulances and related equipment in accordance with patient needs and public safety
Requirements:
- Must meet all legislated requirements for Primary Care Paramedics in Saskatchewan
- Must be currently registered with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics as a Primary Care Paramedic or eligible for registration through the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics
- Must be in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics
- Must submit with resume a copy (front and back) of a valid Saskatchewan Class 4 Driver's License (or equivalent)
- Must submit with resume a current ITLS and CPR C for Health Care Providers
- Must submit with resume a current (within last 60 days) valid and clean criminal record check
- Must submit with resume a current (within last 30 days) driver's abstract
- Must demonstrate the ability to work efficiently as a member of the team and possess strong interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work all shifts as assigned, maintaining a good attendance record
- Must have a high regard for confidentiality
- Must have excellent work habits and exhibit professionalism
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer an attractive compensation package, estimated to be around $80,000-$100,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, our employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits program, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a retirement savings plan.
