Job Title: Architectural Technologist

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Architectural Technologist to join our team in Victoria, British Columbia. As an Architectural Technologist, you will play a key role in transforming architectural designs into practical, buildable projects.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented and talented Architectural Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction techniques. They will be responsible for preparing detailed architectural drawings, plans, and construction documents using Revit and SketchUp.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, and construction documents using Revit and SketchUp.
  • Design Support: Assist architects in developing and refining design concepts.
  • Site Surveys: Conduct site visits and surveys to collect data and assess project requirements.
  • Code Compliance: Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
  • Visualizations: Create 3D models and visualizations to support design development and client presentations.
  • Document Review: Review and revise drawings and documents based on feedback from architects, clients, and regulatory bodies.
  • Project Management: Monitor project progress and provide technical support throughout the construction phase.
Requirements:
  • Education: Diploma in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience: 6+ years of experience in an architectural technologist or related role, with at least 3 years of experience working with the Canadian building codes and regulations.
  • Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other relevant design software. Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction techniques. Excellent technical drawing and drafting skills.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
